The Patti Wilder Swim Meet is a GRPA State Qualifying Meet hosted by the Cobb County's Summer Swim League. This is an optional county meet for swimmers age 5-18 years old. Thhis is a great opportunity for PBBST swimmers to compete against teams from all over Cobb County. There is an additional cost associated with participation in this meet.

At least one PBBST coach will be there to help our swimmers. 

WHEN: June 26 - June 28, 2026

Registration Deadline - June 14.

• $7 per individual event
• $15 per relay event ($3.75 per swimmer)

Events are assigned by the team coach and swimmers can be entered into 3 individual events and 2 relays max.

We need two volunteers for the sessions in which we have swimmers entered, including finals. Volunteers may sign up for a role at the front desk on the day of the swim meet.

AGE GROUPS AND EVENT PRELIMS & FINALS

Friday, June 26, 2026 - 13 - 18 year old swimmers.

Saturday, June 27, 2026 - 9-12 year old swimmers.

Sunday, June 28, 2026 - 5-8 year old swimmers (TIMED FINALS)

Each day's Warm Ups* start at 7:30 AM

Each day's Meet starting at 9:15 AM

*An additional open warm ups for all swimmers is available Thursday night, 5:00 - 8:00 PM. 

Why Participate?

This is a FUN meet and kids love it! Piedmont Bend swimmers who register will be put in heats with swimmers with similar times from teams all over Cobb County. We highly encourage swimmers from our team to enter this meet. If enough Barracudas sign up, we will put together relay teams that will compete against other teams. Swimmers must be in the same age group or in one age group younger to form a relay. 

While generally there are no qualifying times for this meet, 5 and 6 year old swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards in under 1 minute and 10 seconds to participate. Everyone races in heats with similar speed swimmers.

The top 3 swimmers in each individual (non-relay) event will have the opportunity to move on to the GRPA State meet in July. Information on state meet practices will be given to those who are eligible. The GRPA State meet is generally held in Columbus, GA in July.
