Parent Volunteer Job Sign Up Descriptions
Cobb County Summer Swim League relies on parents volunteering during the evening swim meets to make sure everything runs soothly. Below are descriptions of the various Job Sign Ups available during a swim meet.

| JOB | DESCRIPTION | # of VOLUNTEERS |
| Athlete & Volunteer Check-In | Makes sure all confirmed swimmers and volunteers are present and ready at the start of the swim meet. | 1 |
| Timer | Marks the swimmer's event/heat end time in a specified lane using a stopwatch. | 4 (2 per half) |
| Runner | Picks up timer sheets from the lane times at the end of each event and takes them to the scorekeeper's table for entry into the computer. | 2 |
| Place Judge | Sits near the finish end of the races and writes down the lane order of finish of the swimmers | 4 (2 per half) |
| Bull Pen | Makes sure the kids in a specific age group are ready and behind the blocks when needed before their events. | 6+ (as needed) |
| Scorekeeper | Inputs event scores in Maestro system as the results are turned in by the runner. | 2 |
Additonal Home Meet Sign Up Descriptions
The following descriptions are needed in addition to those above when it's home meet at our pool.

| Announcer | Communicates the start of each event/heat and for which upcoming events swimmers should begin prepping. | 2 |
| Event Sign Turner | Keeps up with the events and heats | 2 |
| Starter | Uses the air horn to start the event/heat | 2 |
| Concessions* | Sell food and drink items during the meet. | 6 (3 - 4 per half) |
| Pool Party | Helps serve food during the End-of-Season awards ceremony and pool party | 4 |
Concessions Food Prep Volunteers*
Prepares specific food items ahead of time for sell at concessions. If you help with food preparations, you do not have to volunteer during the meet.
Ribbons
The morning after each meet during practice, parents are expected to help label and distribute the award ribbons for our swimmers.
Coordinators
As our kids get older, there is always a need for new coordinators to step up and take over. If you are intersted in filling this fun and rewarding position, or have questiosn, please let me know. One person can do it, but it's even better shared among friends.
